Somerset County has many county parks, including Sourland Mountain Preserve, Raritan River Greenway, Lord Stirling Park, Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, Colonial Park and Washington Valley Park. The County's 9,750 acres of parkland include golf courses, picnic areas, hiking and bicycling trails, stables, a swimming pool, an Environmental Education Center and the County Fairgrounds.
